Business Studies

Business Studies and Business are both popular subject choices for the Junior and Leaving Certificate. Students are encouraged to take an interest in and a positive attitude towards the business world. Business is a very practical subject and students are encouraged to apply the knowledge and skills that they learn in class to their personal lives. Students very much enjoy learning about topics such as insurance, banking, consumer legislation and budgeting.

A business module is also offered to Transition Year students. This course is designed to allow students to learn Business and Accounting in a practical and enjoyable way, setting uip and running mini-campanies.

Through their study of Business, a large number of students from the Donahies have gone on to study Business in third level institutions and are now working in business related employment
