Mathematics

Maths is a core subject and as such is done by all students. It
is taught to all levels including Leaving Certificate Higher Level and Leaving
Certificate Applied. Students with special learning difficulties have access to
a range of extra resources.All students can avail of additional maths support in
the homework club.
As part of Transition Year in Maths we try to promote practical maths and do a range of projects with the students. For example we have run a mock election and taught students to tally votes and to formulate a quoto. We also Have a cross Curricular link with History through our Famous Mathematicians project.A wide range of teaching methods are used including the use of I.C.T. and team teaching.
